Apple Keynote Autumn 2014: Wearable & iDevice 6 Expectations

And here goes my list of expectations for today’s evening in 3 hours and 19 minutes. It is mostly powered by expectations from the past, but nevertheless has some more.

iPhone 6 Yep, I do not think all these leaked videos are fake. We will have a new iPhone Big Ass Table® (see also Microsoft Big Ass Table), great! Those will fly to consumers in no time I am sure. I still love my iPhone 4S best, though I have a 5s now, too. And I like the Touch ID. But yeah, phones get now more bulky in your pocket. :( Nothing I can do about this. We got two iPhones, great!
iHealth I do not expect an iWatch. Who wants another gadget you need to charge with electrical power everyday? If there will be another gadget it better is something really useful. Right now I cannot imagine any „smart“ gadget that does NOT connect to a cloud. But clouds you know… are having a tough time reputation-wise right now… besides this, if we get something to encourage living healthier WITHOUT the need to charge everyday electrical power to the gadget… there may be something here. But no, I do not expect an iWatch. More something like this. No dedicated health product. Yet!
iPay® The revolution comes through your Apple ID. Apple Inc. will start to be a bank from today on. Well, we have guessed this was their goal anyway seeing all those cash reserves right? Is there a more trustful bank than Apple Inc. Bank? Today iPay® will roll out in the US-only. In one year it will be expanded globally. A wielding „Told you so.“
iCommunicator No, I do not expect it, I want it. Just a smart Microphone & Speaker at my shirt like in Star Trek. See here for more. I want some real piece of treknology to help me out whenever I have a question. It would be my Knowledge Navigator come true. This is the communicator. They even demonstrated it on stage. You can speak to AppleWatch. But we will see if that really works as advertised.

Update: Not so sure about 6+

Definitely no product for me, because I rely most of the time on 1-Hand-does-it-all-Mode.

Seems to be perfect for gaming experience though.

Learned why all these weirdo circles in the icon scheme popped up in iOS 7.

I think this one fits better for me i.e. for outdoor use.

Why do I blog this? I just want to see how much I score this time with my predictions. :-)

Crowd. Cloud. Baut. Kraut. Klaut.

Ach… ja ist ’ne doofe Headline. Aber hey, is ja mein Blog. :-)

Ich wollte nur mal loswerden, dass ich dieses krautreporter.de Funding Ding nicht so dolle fand (Bin da übrigens nicht allein.). Ich hab nichts gegen Startups und neue Ideen. Ich bin auch kein notorischer Kritiker und Nörgler. Aber ich hab was gegen verdammt schlechte Kommunikation, denn ich liebe Marketing und Kunden. Und Krautreporter praktiziert verdammt schlechte Kommunikation in vielerlei Hinsicht.

Der Name: „Kraut“ ist ein Schimpfwort, eine negative Assoziation. Doof gewählt für etwas, das permanente Kundensympathien gewinnen soll.
Die Webseite: Es wird überhaupt nicht klar, für was ich da Geld geben soll. Es gibt keine Produktsamples, keine Hinweise auf konkrete Inhalte, es ist die berühmte Katze im Sack.
Die Finanzierung: Man kann ein Crowdfunding auch so durchführen, dass man nicht gleich auf alle Einnahmen für die Finanzierungssumme 19% Mehrwertsteuer abführen muss. Selten sowas Dämliches gesehen, warum geht man nicht über eine etablierte CrowdFunding Plattform und hat damit auch Sicherheit für die Kunden und nicht schon gleich vom Start weg Probleme mit Zahlungswegen?
Nachkaufdissonanzen: Das Funding ist fertig und offenbar auch erfolgreich und auf der Frontseite gibt es über 8 Stunden später nichtmal ein „Danke“-Statement. Als potenzieller Kunde käme ich mir verarscht vor.
Vernetzung: Es gibt noch ein Blog in dem ebenfalls Inhalte stehen, aber Blog und Webseite verweisen nicht gut genug aufeinander. Während des Fundings gab es die Fundinginfo nur auf einer Seite. Fail.
Undurchsichtige Rechtskonstrukte: Eine UG (die kleine GmbH) zu gründen ist ja okay, aber bei der Summe um die es hier geht, wäre so ein wenig Hintergrundinfo und Transparenz echt nicht so übel.

Mein Fazit: Ich glaube nicht, dass man Projekten die die Katze im Sack verkaufen wollen, Geld geben sollte. Da werden sich bald einige Leute sehr ärgern. Denn die Art und Weise wie hier kommuniziert wird sagt viel mehr aus über dieses Vorhaben, als die Vorhabenidee (die ich gutheiße) selbst.

Kaum gestartet schon den ersten Megafail… ach, ja hätte man halt auf eine CrowdFunding-Plattform gesetzt nicht wahr? Oh und nach über 2 Tagen dann diese Botschaft:

Wie man das Ganze besser machen kann sieht man schön bei Edition f.

Auch das Stadtmagazin HH Mittendrin ist da besser in Sachen Kommunikation. Viel besser aus meiner Sicht.

Why do I blog this? Ich fand den Hype komisch. Ich find die Kommunikation komisch. Ich denke nicht, dass dieses Konzept Erfolg haben wird, denn wer bereits am Anfang so wie hier gezeigt mit Kunden (nicht-)kommuniziert, der lernt das auch später nicht mehr. Allein schon der Name… au weia! Oh und es ist übrigens sehr unterhaltsam die Kommentare hier bei heise.de zu lesen zur Zeitung der Zukunft. Also wenn ich jetzt eine Zeitung der Zukunft bauen wollen würde, ich würde das da lesen und davon ausgehen, dass das die Realität ist mit der ich konfrontiert sein werde. Wenn mein Businessmodel mit der Realität funktioniert, BINGO!
