Es ist egal welche Entscheidung man in seinem eigenen eng umgrenzten Entscheidungsbereich trifft, es \u00e4ndert nichts am Ergebnis. Da kann man GR\u00dcNE, AfD, FDP, SPD, CDU, CSU oder Die PARTEI  w\u00e4hlen&#8230; es bleibt eine No-Win-Situation, denn es \u00e4ndert an den wahren Machtverh\u00e4ltnissen (<strong>Geld regiert die Welt nicht Politik<\/strong>.) leider nullkommanichts. Erinnert mich iregdwie an den Film &#8222;WarGames&#8220;, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6DGNZnfKYnU\">Ein merkw\u00fcrdiges Spiel, der einzig gewinnbringende Zug ist&#8230; nicht zu spielen.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetawelle.de\/wp-upload\/45186673_400x400.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetawelle.de\/wp-upload\/45186673_400x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"263\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetawelle.de\/wp-upload\/45186673_400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thetawelle.de\/wp-upload\/45186673_400x400-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 85vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Nun, ich denke ich habe meinen pers\u00f6nlichen Kobayashi-Maru-Test noch nicht bestanden, denn ich wei\u00df zwar dass ich nicht gewinnen kann ich versuche es aber trotzdem. Dabei m\u00fcsste ich es eigentlich nur anst\u00e4ndig hinnehmen, dass der Planet sich zu einer unwirtlichen W\u00fcste entwickeln wird, die Menschheit krass dezimiert werden wird durch Umweltwirkungen die wir selbst ausgel\u00f6st haben. Ich m\u00fcsste lediglich hinnehmen, dass sich das nicht mehr wird \u00e4ndern lassen. Stattdessen glaube ich noch an einen positiven Ausgang irgendwie&#8230; statt das Spiel einfach nicht mitzuspielen, lasse ich mich fahrl\u00e4ssig darauf ein, ein gef\u00e4hrliches Spiel zu spielen, das weltweite Kobayashi-Maru-Szenario.<\/p>\n<p>Nun da ich den Test aktuell nicht zu bestehen scheine (<strong>Hacken, &#8222;Schummeln&#8220;, Out-of-the-Box Denken, vor allem aber Out-of-the-Box handeln<\/strong>, brauchen irgendwie deutlich mehr Zeit als gedacht&#8230;)&#8230; wie sieht es denn mit dem Rest des Planeten aus? Auf den ersten Blick w\u00fcrde ich sagen haben wir ca. 90 Prozent der Weltbev\u00f6lkerung die das Szenario noch begeistert spielt und denkt sie k\u00f6nnten durch bekanntes Denken und Handeln oder gar abgucken bei anderen einen Einfluss auf das Ergebnis nehmen. Ha! What\u2019s your point here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"1afe\">\u201cMy point is, why do officers have to go through the Kobayashi Maru, Bones? Whatdoes Starfleet expect?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"2821\">\u201cStarfleet expects future captains to know that no win scenarios exist, that youhave to make sacrifices sometimes, and plan accordingly. They even tell you so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"54d5\">\u201cThat\u2019s my point. The Kobayashi Maru scenario is a scenario, as the name implies.It\u2019s a series of carefully placed hoops you have to jump through so you get your reward. A series of hoops thattells you sometimes you have to sacrifice people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"e989\">\u201cOr yourself\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"1299\">\u201cDoes it tell you that, Bones? Really? Here\u2019s a statement from the officialdescription of the Kobayashi Maru scenario, I can quote it by heart : <em class=\"nt\">\u201cThe approaching cadet crew    must decide whether to attempt rescue of the Kobayashi Maru crew \u2014 endangering their own ship and lives \u2014 or    leave the Kobayashi Maru to certain destruction. If the cadet chooses to attempt rescue, the simulation is    designed to guarantee that the cadet\u2019s ship enters a situation that they will have absolutely no chance of    winning, escaping, negotiating or even surviving.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 The no win scenario really begins once you decideto rescue people, Bones. And sure, the no win scenario is there for you to endure, and you won\u2019t be punished forfailing to rescue the Maru. But there <em class=\"nt\">is<\/em> a painless way to win: leaving the Kobayashi Maruto die, first thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"bfe7\">A moment passes as Bones stares at his drink.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0a22\">\u201cOkay, I get your point. It\u2019s grim. But commanding a starship is hard work, andsometimes you have to face the music, Jim. Sometimes you just can\u2019t save everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"b1dc\">Jim smiles.<\/p>\n<p id=\"4e85\">\u201cIt\u2019s not even that. The No-win scenario kicks in <em class=\"nt\">as soon as<\/em>you decide to save <em class=\"nt\">anybody<\/em>. It\u2019s not something that <em class=\"nt\">could<\/em> happen, basedon your previous decisions during the simulation. It\u2019s a <em class=\"nt\">punishment <\/em>for even <em    class=\"nt\">trying<\/em> to save the ship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"8ba3\">\u201cSo?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"6594\">\u201cSo they tell you it\u2019s about accepting a no win situation, facing the music andgrace under the ultimate pressure, but people do pass the test by letting the Kobayashi Maru to its fate. It\u2019s alegitimate solution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"287c\">\u201cSure, but\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"a222\">\u201cAND,\u201d Kirk interrupts, \u201cit\u2019s a simulation, remember? They didn\u2019t take a realcivilian ship attack from the archives and put the parameters in. They designed the whole situation from theground up, with the <em class=\"nt\">explicit goal<\/em> to provide future starship captains with the knowledgethat there are situations in which you should let the civilians die, lest your whole ship is lost. It\u2019sconditioning, pure and simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"d2b9\">\u201cThat kind of situations happen, Jim\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"11f3\">Kirk takes a sip.<\/p>\n<p id=\"aa4c\">\u201cDo they, Bones? We\u2019ve been at this for three years. Tell me bones, how many timeshave we faced a real no-win situation? A certain death in face of helping people? I write the logs, Bones. Theanswer is <em class=\"nt\">never<\/em>. Not <em class=\"nt\">once<\/em>. Sure, we lost feathers, and couldn\u2019t alwayssave everybody. But each time we <em class=\"nt\">made it<\/em>, Bones, and each time, <em class=\"nt\">we saved    people<\/em>. The only reason the Maru is a no-win situation is because someone decided it should be. To makea point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"80dd\">Bones smiles and takes a sip. \u201cYou\u2019ve got me, Jim. I\u2019m all ears, what\u2019s the realpoint of the Kobayashi Maru?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"952f\">He expects a triumphant James Tiberius Kirk inflicting his point, courtroom style.Instead, a grim expression falls upon the captain\u2019s face.<\/p>\n<p id=\"facf\">\u201cYou know about my teenage years, Bones, everybody does. Even if they never raisethe subject around me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"eae9\">\u201cThe famine of Tarsus IV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"eef0\">Jim nods.<\/p>\n<p id=\"9de9\">\u201cAfter weeks and weeks of despair, our colony leader, Kodos, decided to kill halfthe colony, allegedly to spare the other half. A few days after the execution, the emergency relief fleetarrived. People still debate <em class=\"nt\">to this day<\/em> whether Kodos did the right thing, you know? Likeit\u2019s some kind of conversation starter. Some say that Kodos couldn\u2019t have known, that he tried everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"9a15\">\u201cIn a way, he did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"b745\">\u201cDid he?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"ca5d\">Another pause.<\/p>\n<p id=\"7adc\">\u201cReally, Bones: did he? I was there, Bones. I lived through the ordeal. I saw hispublic announcement to his own people. I saw the relief on his face once he was done. He didn\u2019t try to find asolution to the famine, Bones. He just found the quickest way through it, consequences be damned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"ea09\">\u201cFrom his point of view, maybe it was a humane thing to do, Jim.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"c394\">Kirk shoots back without even looking at his friend.<\/p>\n<p id=\"f0c9\">\u201cHow is it humane to murder the people you\u2019ve been mandated to take care of, Bones?What point of view makes it okay?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"75ee\">Bones stays silent.<\/p>\n<p id=\"f39a\">\u201cHe didn\u2019t make a hard choice, Bones. He didn\u2019t solve any dilemma. <em    class=\"nt\">He gave up on his people<\/em>. That\u2019s as simple as that. But there\u2019s enough people out therethinking you don\u2019t make an omelet without breaking some eggs, right? Here\u2019s the thing with people like Kodos:<em class=\"nt\">they never break their own eggs<\/em>. They always break everybody else\u2019s. It\u2019s all just excuses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"365a\">Bones waited a few moments more, then<\/p>\n<p id=\"7673\">\u201cSo, the Kobayashi Maru?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"6bef\">\u201cThe Kobayashi Maru. Whatever the good people at Starfleet tell you, the Maru isn\u2019tabout accepting fate. It\u2019s about putting starfleet first. Nobody will tell it like it is, but it\u2019s how it works.Try to save civilians, you lose. Sure, those civilians are in a disputed sector, surrounded by several warshipsfrom a major political presence in the quadrant, while your ship is clearly insufficient for this kind ofintervention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"cdcf\">\u201cI was going to say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"3f36\">\u201cBut it\u2019s on purpose! It was designed that way! It was designed so that the momentyou give <em class=\"nt\">one<\/em> damn, one <em class=\"nt\">single<\/em> damn about the civilian ship, you lose.Well \u2014 you <em class=\"nt\">don\u2019t <\/em>actually lose, but what maxim will you get out of it? \u201cA civilian shipisn\u2019t worth losing a starfleet vessel or messing up a complex spatio political situation.\u201d And you know what? Itmakes it okay to decide not to try it. To forfeit our first responsibility towards civilians. Eventually, thismakes Kodoses out of all of us. I call that bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"0aeb\">\u201cI can see why <em class=\"nt\">you<\/em> would. Is that why you cheated?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"0c6d\">Kirk smiles a courtroom smile again.<\/p>\n<p id=\"aff5\">\u201cI cheated so I got caught.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"811f\">Bones bursts into laughter. \u201cYou never told me that!\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"71f3\">\u201cNever told anyone. But I wanted to present my case in front of the authority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"f1b8\">\u201cAnd your case was?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"b92c\">\u201cThe Kobayashi Maru isn\u2019t a simulation. It\u2019s propaganda in video game form, andit\u2019s conveying a way of doing things that shouldn\u2019t be part of Starfleet, whether it was intended to by itsdesigners or not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"3170\">\u201cHow did that go?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"bb76\">Kirk takes a sip.<\/p>\n<p id=\"a300\">\u201cAll these years and they didn\u2019t change anything to the Maru, did they?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"8523\">\u201cIndeed, they didn\u2019t. And you still made it to captain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"c714\">\u201cI sure did. So what does that tell you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"d403\">\u201cThey couldn\u2019t prove you wrong, but would never admit it officially.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"2123\">\u201cAnd here I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"c8db\">\u201cHere you are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"4f29\">Both finish their drinks.<\/p>\n<p id=\"e258\">\u201cThis attitude of yours, Jim \u2014 it\u2019s going to come back around and bite you in theass, you know that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"b635\">\u201cIf there\u2019s any justice in this galaxy?
